Located in Pompignan in the Gard, at 30 km from Montpellier, this bioclastic limestone quarry dates from the secondary Cretaceous era. The limestone extracted from this quarry is a compact and homogeneous rock, with a fine paste, of a grey to yellowish grey color depending on the benches.
There are several types of Pompignan: Pompignan Grey, Pompignan Bayadere and Pompignan Crust.
The Pompignan quarry covers an area of 15 hectares, with a production capacity of 15,000 m3/year.
