Quarried in Saone et Loire near Tournus, the Farges stone is an oolitic limestone with medium grains and is characterized by its slightly amber white-beige color with small shell fossils and its sanded appearance.
This stone, often powdery, has a high porosity and low density. This Farges stone is particularly used for roads or urban development works.
